Press Release Summary: If writer/director Nate C. Wiliams were playing poker, he
could smile knowing he\'s got an aces over kings very full house! He\'s brought
together notables Morris Chestnut, Baldwin C. Sykes, Tammy Townsend, Aaron P. Woods,
Reggie Ballard, Preston \"Bo P\" Barnes, Dennis Curry, Michael Q. Schmidt, and an
entire host of fabulous actors... as well as the music talent of Tomi \"T-Jinks\"
Jenkins in order to create a film that promises to be a sure winner.

Press Release Body: In a recent interview, writer/director Williams recounted, \"A
few years ago, Morris Chestnut and I were talking about doing a project and he
suggested that I write about a topic to which I could relate... and one that a young
viewership could relate to as well. Thinking about my younger years, I came up with
a story I called CARTOONS... after the club around which the action was centered.
In development, the title was changed to THE 3RD COAST so as to better reflect how
all people in the area consider themselves a very different and very special part of
America. My dream is for you to experience in the theaters this story of growth.\"

Based upon episodes in Williams\' own life, \"THE 3RD COAST\" is the story of a college
athelete who turns his back on the glory of college football to seek success
elsewhere. \"Randy LeBlanc\" discovers a more fulfilling career as an entertainment
entepreneur. He meets \"Shawn Dixon\" (Morris Chestnut), the owner of CARTOONS, a
mediocre club on the southwest side of Houston. Dixon has outstanding loans with a
nasty loan shark and the shark is unhappy with the clubs proceeds. Snatching at any
straw, Dixon convinces LeBlanc to help promote the club. Randy finds a natural
talent for the business and soon the club is the hottest thing in town. Sounds like
dream come true, yes? No. Now Randy has to deal with his family and friends as he
turns his back on football. In Texas, football is more important than life itself..
and worse, Randy\'s cousin is also a college player and Randy\'s father and Uncle have
had a rivalry for years as each brags on their son. THE 3RD COAST deals with
betrayal and trust in a very real manner. Shawn thinks he\'s hit the jackpot with his
new found protege. The shark is now angry that the loan may actually be paid off
early and so decides he wants a piece of CARTOONS. Randy\'s father has to come to
terms with his son who refuses football while Randy must make a decision to either
support the family dream of his being a football star or turn his back on them to
pursue his new desire.

Producers include screen veterans Morris Chestnut and Dennis Curry. Williams gifted
